Community Centres

Thurgoland Village Hall is located in the centre of the village and is used by many of the village organisations. It is available for rent by any individual or organisation subject to availability. Within the environs of the recreation ground there are facilities for football, bowls, and tennis. There is also a play area for children. There are two buildings, the main Hall and a smaller building, used mainly for children’s activities - a Youth Club and an out-of-school club.

Available for hire to local groups.  Currently we have Dancing, Tai Chi, Yoga and keep Fit.

Providing a village hall with excellent facilities for all manner of functions: 
Weddings, birthday parties, baptisms, funeral teas, meetings both formal and informal etc.

Responsible for the management of the Village Hall and the organisation of social events such as the annual gala and bonfire.

To provide a Community Centre providing social activities for the local Community including Bingo, Yoga, Spiritualistic meetings and children’s parties.

To provide community activities for the local community.

The Venue is a thriving Community & Performing Arts hub in Stocksbridge offering the people of the town and  surrounding area  a wide range of performing arts and  entertainment facilities. It  also offers a wide range of community  education, training opportunities and  IT training programmes.
