Stocksbridge & Upper Don 50+ is affiliated to Sheffield 50+. It is a non political, independent voluntary group democratically run by and for people over 50.
The aims are to : -
• Raise and develop a more positive profile of older people within society through civic activism.
• Campaign for improvements in the quality and range of services for older people in Sheffield.
• Encourage greater participation and communication within local and national decision makers to secure such improvements.
• Encourage greater recognition of the varied contributions made by older people.
The group meets in Stocksbridge Library on the 2nd Thursday @ 2pm each month (Except August). Membership is free and new members are welcome to attend and join.
An agenda with minutes is sent to each member monthly either by post or e-mail.
