Friendship pub, Manchester Rd, Stocksbridge
Following the Film showing of Transition 2 we have arrange a meeting at the Friendship pub on 8th April at 7pm.
Around 12 people showed up to see how other groups from around the world are responding to the issues of Oil dependency and climate change. After much discussion we decided that a follow up meeting would be useful where we could explore further the questions and ideas raised.
"Something is stirring. People around the world are deciding that the wellbeing of their local community and its economy lies with them. They're people like you. They'e rolling up their sleeves, getting together with friends and neighbours, and doing something about it. Whether they start small or big, they find that just doing stuff can transform their neighbourhoods and their lives." (Rob Hopkins- Founder of the Transition movement)
Please come and bring others with creative ideas. Thank you.
