Stocksbridge gears up for Le Tour!

Tour de France 6th July 2014

A sub group of the Stocksbridge Events and 4SLC Teams are meeting on Monday 18th.November and on the 9th.December to at the Town Hall from 1900 to discuss all the possibilities of promoting the Town, including the introduction of our fantastic community , with all its community groups, leisure facilities, pubs clubs and businesses, not just the day of the race but during the 100 days leading up to the event.

They would like to hear from you if you have already started to plan a local event or are considering doing so, or if you would like to take part in the promotion of Stocksbridge as a place to visit and enjoy. On Sunday 6th.July, 2014, Le Tour will pass within 2 miles of the Town centre, giving us great opportunity to promote ourselves as the north east gateway to the Peak District National Park. Many visitors are expected and these people will need to be housed as well as fed, watered and entertained.

This event gives Stocksbridge and surrounding villages an opportunity that cannot and should not be missed.
