Keep fit and learn to play Tennis

Stocksbridge Tennis Club is putting on two tennis classes this month.

Cardio Tennis
Fridays 6- 7pm, starting 23rd May for 6 weeks. A fun, sociable group fitness class set on a tennis court.

Tennis Xpress
Saturdays 9:30 - 11am, starting 24th May for 6 weeks. Learn to play tennis in six weeks.

Both sessions are open to non-members and are free for ages 11 to 25. For 26 and older, £21 for the six weeks.

East Peak Outdoors – Walking Festival

A Walk from Langsett to North America
Led by Stephen Gould and Karen Dennis. 3.5 miles
A walk which takes in woodland and open moorland with stunning views that make the walk worthwhile.
Steady ascent and descent across fields. A short section on roads. The paths are well defined. There are stiles, steps and gates. The walk will end with refreshments at Bank View Café for those who wish to join us.

East Peak Outdoors – Walking Festival

A walk around More Hall reservoir. Led by Steve and Karen Dennis. 3.4 miles
Meet at 1.30pm at the western end of the private road which runs along the north side of More Hall, near Ewden village. Parking is possible.
This walk is ideal for walkers looking for a bit of variety whilst getting away from life’s daily grind.
The path can become muddy so walking boots are recommended.
There are no toilets or refreshment facilities.

Meet 11.30am Farnley Tyas, parking in Golden Cock Car park for 6 mile walk. Walking via Roydhouse wood and Lumb Beck up to Castle Hill Site for Lunch stop with time to Climb the Victorian tower and admire the fantastic views. Return via Castle houses and Lud Hill with more views of the Holme valley.

Tennis Circus in Stocksbridge!

Former Davis Cup players Danny Sapsford and Andrew Richardson will be at Stocksbridge Tennis club on Sunday 6th April for an afternoon of master classes followed by two exhibition matches at 5pm and 5:30pm. Come and watch.
