Plans for 399 new dwellings in Deepcar submitted

Bloor Homes have recently submitted plans for 399 new dwellings in Deepcar, on a site between Manchester Road and Station Road. The plans are with Sheffield City Council Planning Department and can be examined and commented on, by members of the public.

Bloor Homes development in Deepcar - exhibition

To engage with the community, Bloor Homes have arranged a public exhibition to allow local people to view the draft plans and speak with members of the development team who will be on hand to listen and answer any questions about the scheme. Feedback forms will be available at the exhibition for members of the public to complete and comments will help inform the development of the final plans.

Stocksbridge and Deepcar Firework Display

The annual November fireworks display - the best for miles!  

The fire will be lit at 18:30, fireworks commence about 19:00.

The bonfire and the event is staged by Deepcar Village Community Association and volunteer helpers. Fireworks are purchased with a grant from Stocksbridge Town Council.

Donatios of  wood for the fire are wanted. The organisers have little transport and available manpower to assist. Please take any wood you can to the fire site on the field.
