Opening of Wigtwistle Bridleway

Wigtwistle Bridleway

The Steel Valley Project (SVP) is planning an event to celebrate the completion of the new bridleway constructed in Wigtwizle Plantation near Broomhead Reservoir. This project was funded by the Paths for Communities fund and managed by SVP staff, with work carried out by SVP volunteer trainees supporting the contractor, Frost Plant Hire.

The opening meeting of the Bridleway will commence at 10.00 am on Friday the 11/04/14 at the Bridleway entrance on Rushy Lane. (Note: Rushy Lane is a by-way accessible from New Road and Mill Lane.) There will be the opportunity to walk the bridleway which is approximately 1km long and does climb some steeper slopes. It is anticipated that the event will be completed at around 11.00 am.
