the Tour de France ('Le Tour') skirts Stocksbridge

On Sunday 6th.July 2014, the Tour de France ('Le Tour') skirts Stocksbridge. The route comes through Langsett, passes through Midhopestones, and skirts the Canyards before reaching High Bradfield. The tour then continues through Oughtibridge and Grenoside to the finish in Sheffield. 

There will be road closures and major traffic disruption, but this will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. This is the third biggest sporting event in the world and, as such, offers Stocksbridge a chance to put itself on the map!
