Valley in Bloom Schools’ Planting 23rd October 2013
The six large square containers on the precinct, each sponsored by one of the six schools in the town, have now been planted with violas and spring bulbs. The pupils came, accompanied by members of staff, to complete the task on Wednesday afternoon of last week.
Because of the heavy rain on Monday and Tuesday, planting was doubtful, but after a wet morning the sun came out and the planting went ahead.
It was a pleasure to have groups of enthusiastic, well behaved youngsters helping to make the town look cared for. Valley in Bloom wish to thank the pupils, teachers and head teachers for their support.
