Stocksbridge learners swimming pool re-opens!

SCLC Trust1 Directors, now running the recently re-opened Stocksbridge Community Leisure Centre have, today, announced their intention to re-open the two swimming pools within the next 12 months.

This follows a meeting with members of Stocksbridge Town Council and Sheffield City Council’s Director of Culture & Environment, who were presented with a proposal fully detailing the costs associated with the project and the benefits the re-opening would bring to the town.

Stocksbridge Community Leisure Centre - CHRISTMAS FAYRE AND OPENING

  • Glyn Rhodes MBE will be officially opening the centre before a boxing bout with Sam Sheady, Northern Area Champion.
  • Table Tennis champion Will Bayley, Team GB Paralympic Silver Medalist will show the kids how its done.
  • There will be Christmas Stalls, Santa's Grotto, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Green Top Circus, Face Painting, free taster sessions including Bowling, Trampolining, Karate and fitness sessions with Active Health Sheffield and lots more.
  • Peak Pursuits will be there with their mobile climbing wall.

  • Stocksbridge Community Leisure Centre is having a CHRISTMAS FAYRE.
  • Santa will be there in his Grotto, there will be stalls to start buying those little stocking fillers, refreshments and much more.
  • Also, a chance to see what will be on offer at SCLC in the New Year to kick start a healthy 2014.

4SLC are holding a Race Night at Stocksbridge Rugby Club on Saturday the 19th October starting at 7:30pm. Please come along and have a fun night out raising valuable funds for Stocksbridge Community Leisure Centre.
