As part of the National Organisation of Townswomen's Guilds, Stocksbridge and Deepcar Townswomen's Guild is one of 10 Guilds which make up the Sheffield Cutler Federation.

We are likeminded women who meet together on a regular basis regardless of race, age, politics, religion or circumstances to exchange ideas and develop new skills and interests. Regular Guild meetings include speakers, demonstrations and social activities. New members are always made welcome at Guild meetings.

Lipreading Classes are held downstairs at the Stocksbridge Library every Thursday morning 10.30am to 12.30.  People do not have to be hard of hearing themselves, anyone can come.  The cost is £5 per week.

Chairobics is seated exercise to music.  We also play various seated games. 

We meet on Thursdays from 10-00 to 11-30am at St John's Church in Deepcar.

The fee is £2.50 which includes fruit and a drink.

Teaching is done by a fully qualified instructor working for Activity Sheffield.

We are a friendly group and everyone is made welcome.

The group is aimed at people who are interested in patchwork and quilting and we invite members of all abilities.   We don't provide lessons, although we have occasional workshops outside of the regular monthly meetings.  We can also arrange contact with people who do provide lessons.  

The main aim is to bring together people with a common interest in quilting and encourage and support members through joint activities such as guest speakers, trips to quilt shows and exhibitions, working together to produce a group quilt and planning our first quilt show.

Coffee or tea available.
Organised by volunteers.
Donations for drinks are given to various charities.
Special fundraising events often organised.
