Harlequin Pub, Sheffield
Dear Don Valley Railway Supporters,
We are holding our monthly Drop In Session on Thursday the 5th March at the Harlequin Pub.
We are looking for people who are interested in putting together a Woodhead Exhibition to publicise the route and its history. We are also working with Del Tilling, proprietor of Elsecar Railway, who wishes to create a permanent museum feature on the line.
If you are interested in volunteering for this project it would be partticularly good to see you at this meeting.
Under the working title WOODHEAD PASSED AND FUTURE it is hoped this will contribute to the future reopening of rail services on the Eastern end of the Line into Sheffield.
You can also receive an update on progress of the plan to get the line open, in particular we will have feedback on consultation with the three bidders for the Northern Rail Franchise.
I look forward to seeing you there. Get in touch if you require further information.
Kind Regards
Chris Bell
