Funding from Hallam University is to be utilised for an afternoon meeting in order to consider all the services, voluntary and statutory, in the area and where the gaps are. There is to be a shift of funding from NHS to the Community to look at care. This is an opportunity to get together as a community to say what we want and need.
Rachel Dillon, Locality Manager, NHS Sheffield CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group), will speak about the changes, and there will be an opportunity for users/carers/ professionals/volunteers to look at what we already have and what we need.
Organiser, Susie Abrahams says: ‘Many people when they first become carers are isolated and do not know where to get help, from personal experience I know all too well how confusing this can be. I hope at the end of the conference to begin to look at how we can make this process simpler for people.’
